Music is the language of emotion, and language of gods. God Siva plays damaru (drum) Krishna plays the flute and Saraswathy plays veena, Naratha and Thumpuru associated with musical instruments. Valmiki in his Ramayana frequently mentions that amongst Ramas fit ness for being crowned the emperor was his high proficiency in music.
